Had a chance to use the Cat 950 loader on various terrains. The fuel efficiency improvement was noticeable, saving operational costs. However, transitioning between gears could feel abrupt on steeper inclines.

As someone with years of experience operating heavy machinery, the Caterpillar 966 GC delivers commendable performance with its sturdy construction and responsive hydraulics. The spacious and ergonomic cab stands out, offering reduced operator fatigue during long shifts. However, its fuel efficiency could be better, particularly when engaged in demanding tasks. Overall, it gets the job done efficiently.

Just got off a project using the Caterpillar 972M XE. The dynamic tip-off feature is great for truck loading, making operations quicker. The ride control with the cushioning system ensures a smoother experience even over uneven terrain. That said, while its noise reduction worked fine, I felt it could be improved, especially during extended use periods. The stability with the wider tires is solid, offering excellent balance during lifts.

I've spent a few hours operating the Caterpillar 972M model. Noticed that the CVT transmission offers smooth shifting. The joystick controls are quite responsive, but adjusting to the lack of a steering wheel took a moment-it feels natural after setting in, though. Cab's quietness is remarkable.

I've had experience with loaders like this Caterpillar 950F. Using it, I noticed it operates smoothly despite its significant hours. However, the AC system isn't functioning optimally, which can be a concern in warmer climates. The maintenance history seems thorough, which reassures reliability.

Used the Cat 950 recently. It’s got a solid 42,461 lb operating weight, definitely noticeable during operation. I appreciated the joystick steering; it felt natural and reduced downtime between loads. While the advanced monitoring features are great, there’s a bit of a learning curve for some systems. Fuel efficiency was on point compared to similar models I’ve used.

Been working heavy equipment for years, and the 966G is one of those machines you get used to pretty quick. I like the size and the power, but when it comes to maintenance, man, some of those parts are tucked in way too tight. You gotta dig to get at a couple filters, feels like a time-waster. No complaints about the controls; response from the hydraulics is smooth, easy enough to run even if you’re new. Never broke down bad on me, just make sure you don’t skip regular checks. Resale value stays up, seems like, which helps if you ever need to rotate out. Overall, it does what I need, but I wish Caterpillar made certain fixes easier.

Daily maintenance has become simpler with grouped ground-level access points. Caterpillar has included all essentials like engine and transmission fluid gauges, improving upkeep efficiency. That electric door release is a great additive for safety.

I had a chance to operate the Caterpillar 972M, and I appreciate some of its features. The long floor of the bucket makes material loading efficient, reducing the time spent per cycle. The joystick steering has good responsiveness, making maneuverability in tighter spots easier. However, the fuel consumption could be a consideration for extended operations.

I've moved plenty of dirt and gravel with the 966 GC. The loader seriously saves time on most jobs. Feels like the response is snappy, loads come up fast. Visibility is actually better than some other loaders I’ve sat in, which is good because I hate surprises around corners. Not all sunshine though-the tires wear fast on rough sites and the bucket looks pretty beat after a season. I do appreciate that most stuff in the cab is where you expect it, no hunting around for switches. It’s not a budget loader, kind of pricey tbh, but seems like it holds value better than others. Sometimes controls can be too sensitive until you get used to them. Never had it leave me stranded, so I'd say it’s reliable. Comfort level inside is good-don't get sore after a long day. Just wish service intervals weren’t as frequent.
